REST ROUND™: The Complete Guide to keep you away from staph, ringworm, and skin infection

In combat sports, your toughest opponent isn't the person across from you—it’s the bacteria living on the mats. Every time you spar, you risk exposure to infections that can sideline you for weeks. This guide explains how to use REST ROUND™ to stay protected.

The 15-Minute Window

The most dangerous time for your skin is the 15 minutes after you stop training. As your body cools down, bacteria like staph and ringworm begin to settle into your pores. If you get caught in a "mat chat" or a long drive home without cleaning your skin, you are at high risk.

Spray Immediately After Training

If you cannot shower within 10–15 minutes, you must apply the spray to your entire body right away.

Step 1: For Your Skin

Our HOCL formula kills bacteria on contact without damaging your skin's natural barrier. Focus on these high-risk areas:

  • The Face & Neck: Where most skin-to-skin contact happens during clinching and grappling.
  • The Joints: Spray heavily in your elbow pits and behind the knees.
  • Moisture Traps: Don't forget under your armpits, your chest, and your back.

Note: REST ROUND™ is a professional-grade stop-gap. You still need to shower as soon as you get home.

Step 2: For Your Gear

Your gear holds onto sweat and bacteria. If you put damp gear in a bag, it creates a breeding ground for infections. Spray your gear while it is still damp:

  • Gloves & Shinguards: Mist the interior liners heavily to kill bacteria and stop odors.
  • Headgear: Spray the straps and all padding.
  • Gym Bag: Give the inside a quick spray to keep your training environment clean.
Product Care: To keep the formula at full strength, keep the bottle sealed until you are ready to start using it. Only open the seal when you begin your first application.
